Michigan E-waste provides a sustainable e-waste solution to Michigan businesses, municipalities, nonprofits, churches, and indivuduals.

Under our brand name Castaway Recycling, we provide communities with public drop-off events for thier broken or unwanted electronic waste items. (For event scheduling, please shoot us an email).

Using our internal processes, we recover plastics and rare earth metals, preventing the misuse of our Michigan landfills, while creating jobs and giving back Michiganders and their offices some of its closet space. In the calendar year 2022, we prevented an average of 98% of the gross waste weight entering our facility from entering a landfill.

Metal Values

Broken, unused or otherwise unwanted electronics contain a variery of metals, some of those of greater value. Plastics

Initially an afterthought, we now are processing the plastic waste associated with electronic.Plastics are sorted by type, cleaned, and milled as regrind, to be reused in the plastics industry. Click here to see more details about our plans and goals in the plastic industry.

Toll Refining

In the 2023 calendar year, we expect to begin offering toll refining of Royal Metals ONLY. When available, it will be announced by newsletter, blog, and social posts. There will be a minimum yield OR fee applicable.

Toll Plastic Milling

We currently offer toll milling of plastics. Rates will vary- based upon the size, overall cleanliness, and amount of plastic. Rate is NOT based on polymer type. Contact us today for a quote. For example output, check out our plastics page.

Toll Extrusion

As a portion of our 2023 expansion plans, we look to provide toll extrusion to our customers. This will work in either of two forms- a, in which we mill your plastics and extrude them into sheet of your dimensions, or b, in which we produce extruded sheet for you from our plastics, based on the polymer you request. We will seek ISO certification at the time this process becomes available.
