At the heart of our community's environmental efforts, our Curbside Recycling Program is designed to significantly reduce landfill waste while promoting sustainable re-use of materials. Committed to keeping the job local, we offer an affordable solution that aligns with new state law mandates requiring compliance by 2028.
Our program accepts a variety of recyclable materials, including glass, cardboard, paper, and plastics. We encourage our subscribers to rinse food and detergent containers before recycling; however, we cannot accept containers that held harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia.
Subscribers to our program will be provided a tub for recyclables, which will be picked up on their regular trash days. In Owosso, pickups are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays. Additionally, e-waste is welcome in the tubs, but we advise that consumer devices containing data should be brought directly to our office. Proper data handling is crucial, and such items should never be left at the curb. For more information, see our policy on data handling at Data Policy.
